Our Story

Founded on the principles of sustainability and innovation, we’ve been cultivating premium mushrooms for over a decade, bringing nature’s finest to tables worldwide.

Who We Are

Nigeria is home to alot of super foods, given to us by mother nature, many of which are slowly being forgotten, one of such is mushroom. Thankfully, over the last decade, people are increasingly more intentional about what they eat, making food their medicine, this has led to an increase in the demand for wholesome nutritious foods, this has impacted on the demand for mushrooms as well, but supply has traditionally been limited by challenges such as seasonal availability, a lack of awareness, and reliance on unsafe, foraged varieties.

Alot of people either through Doctor’s recommendations, allergies or just genuine search for protein options that contains less cholesterol and reduces carbon footprint, search for mushrooms but do not know where to get mushrooms without fear of consumption of poisonous types. This untapped market represents an incredible opportunity to provide consistent, high-quality mushrooms while addressing critical issues of food security, health, and employment.

At Eti Farms Global, we’re addressing the problem by transforming mushrooms from a rare delicacy into a staple on every table. We are supporting the fight against food insecurity and malnutrition through the cultivation, processing and distribution of edible mushrooms, all year round and have served thousands of Africans locally and internationally.

We’ve pioneered a climate-smart, soilless approach to mushroom farming that combines innovation with sustainability. We are registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission Nigeria in December 2021, under the provisions of the Company and Allied Matters Act 1990, with the registration number 1873089 but began operations in August 2019, as an Enterprise.

We recognize the intricate relationships between sustainable agriculture, gender equality, and climate action. Our business model is designed to promote gender inclusion and support climate solutions, contributing to a more equitable and environmentally conscious food system. This you can recognize through our women led approach within our workforce and capacity building initiatives to enhance women’s leadership and decision-making skills, fostering a culture of inclusivity.

Our farming practices focus on regenerative agriculture, promoting soil health, biodiversity, and efficient water use to mitigate climate change.

Beyond making available organically/hygienically grown foods to empower families nutrition, our work also supports sdg goal 13: Climate action. With each kg of mushrooms we grow, 3kg of Sawdust and other agro waste is used up as well. We have produced over 10 tons of mushrooms since inception, this means we have recycled and used up 30 tons of waste, which would have been burnt, releasing greenhouse gases to pollute our community.

Our used mushroom bags are given to farmers around us to use as organic bio-friendly manure, instead of synthetic fertilizers, supporting sustainable/responsible production and consumption ( sdg 12)
